Nira Burstein is an award-winning filmmaker and director based in New York City. Charm Circle is her documentary debut, which is currently in post production. Nira is a Jerome Foundation grantee and Independent Film Project (IFP) Documentary Fellow. Her narrative short comedy Gangrenous premiered at the 2020 Nantucket Film Festival. Her other credits include I Said Light which premiered at the Portland Underground Film Festival and the narrative short, Off & Away, premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival. She is currently developing a sitcom and multiple feature screenplays.

Betsy Laikin is a New York based creative producer and consultant. She is the producer of director Nira Burstein’s upcoming documentary film Charm Circle. She was a consulting producer for Jacob Feiring’s Samantha and the Amazing Acro Cats, which premiered at Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival in 2017.  She also produced Nira’s short films GANGRENOUS and Off & Away. Her latest film, Now Return Us To Normal, is a first-person account of time spent at a behavior modification school in rural Utah. She previously worked as a programming coordinator for the film organization Women’s Voices Now.
